The Solidarity Festival, Let’s transform our world!

Every year in November, the Solidarity Festival is held throughout France and in 12 French-speaking African countries. For 26 years, Festisol has been a major event to defend human rights, promote global solidarity and inspire people to act for a more just, united and sustainable world.

Hundreds of thousands of participants (40% young people),

+ 4000 events, 2600 structures, nearly 6000 organizers, 300 local collectives in 13 organizing countries, including 12 African countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central Africa, Congo, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Guinea, Niger, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Senegal, Togo.

Debates, conferences, escape games, cooking workshops, screenings, radio shows, concerts, plays, participatory frescoes, presentation of initiatives from field actors or school activities around various themes such as food, environment, interculturality, democracy, migration…

The Solidarity Festival, supported by local associations and communities, as well as major players in international solidarity such as Amnesty International, Oxfam, CCFD-Terre Solidaire, Secours Catholique, and CRID.

[1] En 2015, tous les humains avaient potentiellement accès à 4600 kilocalories par jour, des apports énergétiques suffisants en réalité pour nourrir 12 milliards de personnes. Et pourtant, 1 personne sur 9 souffre de la faim à l’échelle mondiale, dont 80 % travaillent dans l’agriculture et la pêche.
