Réseau Haies France / Afac – Let’s Act for Trees

Réseau Haies France, formerly known as Afac‑Agroforesteries, became a nationally recognized non-profit association of public interest in 2025. It brings together around 450 member organizations (regional associations, local authorities, technicians, nurserymen, farmers, etc.) dedicated to the promotion, protection, and development of hedgerows, groves, and trees outside forests in rural landscapes.

Its mission is to strengthen the resilience of territories in the face of climate change and biodiversity loss by making hedgerows a central element of the agroecological transition. This is achieved through knowledge production, technical support, certification programs, the development of local supply chains (seeds, seedlings, hedgerow wood), and advocacy for public policy change.

The network operates through a federal structure supported by several regional branches (Hauts‑de‑France, Normandy, Pays de la Loire, Brittany, etc.), which carry out local initiatives such as training, educational work sites, project facilitation, and stakeholder awareness campaigns (targeting elected officials, farmers, citizens).
It also offers professional tools like the Label Haie (Hedgerow Label), the Pact for the Hedgerow guide, technical and participatory reference materials, and organizes events (agroecological contests, webinars, conferences) to promote collective empowerment around trees and hedgerows.
