Founded in December 2020, L’Équipage pour le Climat is a movement initiated by the Convention des Entreprises pour le Climat (CEC), aiming to transform businesses into climate actors through a regenerative economic model. It offers a 10-month program composed of six two-day sessions, involving around thirty experts to help business leaders rethink their business models in order to protect nature, restore resources, and ensure long-term sustainability.
To date, over 1,400 companies have joined the program, and 97% of them develop a regenerative transition plan by the end of the course.
In 2025, the CEC is making headlines with L’Équipage pour le Climat during the Transat Café L’Or (formerly the Transat Jacques Vabre): Alexandre Bellangé (Belco) and Louis Mayaud, skipper and co-skipper, will set sail in October to cross the Atlantic by sailboat—a powerful symbol of sustainable coffee transport.
This project, backed by Belco, a pioneer in sail-shipped coffee, aims to inspire other organizations to commit in tangible ways. The sporting challenge, media storytelling, and personal testimonies serve as powerful levers to spark a collective movement of entrepreneurs working toward a life-centered economy.
